Ministry of Health Request For Qualifications in AlAnsar Hospital in Al-Madinah Al Munawwara Project
The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“MoH”) is pleased to announce the issuance of Request For Qualifications (“RFQ”) in respect of the potential design, build, equipment procurement, operations (excluding clinical operations) and maintenance of the new AlAnsar Hospital (“AH”) on a Public Private Partnership basis. The AH will be located in the city of Al-Madinah Al Munawwara, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (the “Project”). The MoH will conduct a competitive process to select a developer or developer consortium to undertake the Project.
The new hospital is intended to be a two hundred and forty (240) bed green-field hospital for the residents of Al-Madinah Al Munawwara, pilgrims and city visitors within the vicinity of Al Masjid an-Nabawi. The facility is being developed to replace the existing AH and to significantly expand the services available to residents of Al-Madinah Al Munawwara, pilgrims and city visitors. The new facility is expected to have capacity to accommodate ninety (90) emergency beds and approximately 150 inpatient beds. The clinical services for the hospital will be provided by the MoH focusing on emergency services.
The site for the Project has already been selected and an appropriate right to use the site will be given to the winning bidder for the Project so as to enable such winning bidder to carry out the construction, operations and maintenance of AH.
